Open Studio is available for anyone to come in and paint finished pottery or hand build with clay! This is NOT an instructor-led class. Our friendly and creative studio hosts will get you started with all you need to create a masterpiece!
1. Paint-Your-Own-Pottery (better known as PYOP)
Choose from a wide variety of pre-made ceramic pieces or paint a piece you made with clay during a previous visit. Your painted pottery will be fired and available for pickup in approximately 7-10 days.
2. Clay Hand building: You'll start with 2 lbs of clay to sculpt whatever you like. Even beginners, with a little bit of instruction, can make beautiful simple vessels like mugs, platters, or incense holders. Your masterpiece will be fired and available for pick-up in 2-3 weeks. Choose clear glaze or come back for a second playdate to custom glaze your piece yourself!
3. Pottery Wheel:**
Wheel throwing during Open Studio can only be reserved by students who have already taken a Beginner AND Intermediate class at The Turquoise Cup to be eligible to throw independently without an instructor.
